Paper Boats Digital Zine

Following the shocking and horrific bombings taking place this past October (2023) in Gaza, the Utah co-creators felt it important to honor the voices of their Gaza colleagues and friends one more time--hoping these are not their last words. Paper Boats, a collection of essays, poetry, photography and art, was first published in August 2021, in the form of a limited-edition zine with hand-made and hand-assembled elements throughout the book.

As an avenue for 14 Palestinian women living in Gaza to share their artistic work outside of the Israeli-occupied, locked down borders surrounding them, the book was sold at Printed Matter, Inc., in NYC, and at a launch event at Modern West, in Salt Lake City. It took close to a year for the Gaza co-creators to be delivered a physical copy of the zine, as it is not possible to mail anything to the Gaza strip.

Cross borders with the digital version of these important works, in the form of three PDF documents, "Left" and "Right" Books, and the "Extended Pages" which, in the physical book form, extend, and fold back into themselves. Photographs of all hand-made, hand-assembled elements of the physical book will be included. All the proceeds will go directly to the makers in Gaza. Estimated shipping by December 25, 2023.
